LDW Lane Departure Warning PLK has developed the world's first colored lane markings detection algorithm to improve the recognition rate of lane markings. Especially it can detect curved lane markings as well. Also, if the lane markings are difficult to be detected due to adverse environmental conditions, it can draw virtual lanes using previously detected lane markings data. The lane departure warning function can prevent accidents caused by drowsy driving or smartphone use. Mainly, it is necessary to have LDW system when driving long hours or driving at night.
FCW Forward Collision Warning PLK forward collision warning technology detects the preceding vehicle in front and calculates the relative speed and distance, and alerts the driver with TTC (Time To Collision). Also, it can monitor the headway distance to the preceding vehicle to allow the driver to keep a safe distance to the vehicle in front.
TAS Turn Assistance System The TAS detects any pedestrians or cyclists in the blind spot through the mounted vision sensor on the side of the vehicle. With the TAS, bus drivers can significantly improve visibility in a crowded urban environment to keep pedestrians and cyclists safer.
HBA High Beam Assist The HBA function automatically changes the direction of headlights of the vehicle when the preceding or approaching vehicle is detected. Also, it can turn on headlights automatically in the dark environment to avoid any possible collisions.
TSR Traffic Sign Recognition The TSR function recognizes traffic signs, especially speed limit signs. Changeable LED signs can be detected as well. The TSR data can be combined with the GPS (navigation) device to improve its accuracy.
TLR Traffic Light Recognition The TLR function recognizes the traffic lights on the road and informs the driver whether the driver should stop or go. If the driver does not notice the traffic light, it notifies the driver of the traffic light change.
PCW Pedestrian Collision Warning The PCW function recognizes moving pedestrians on the road. In the crowded urban environment, pedestrians can be easily missed by the city driver. The PCW function can accurately detect pedestrians and informs the driver of the collisional risks ahead of any possible collision.
LKA Lane Keeping Assistant If the driver is unconsciously deviating from the driving lane when lane markings are detected, it can control the steering system to prevent lane violation. The vision sensor detects the curvature of the lane to control the steering and sends the control command to the MDPS.
MCW Motorcycle Collision Warning The MCW function detects a motorcycle in front and warns the driver when a collisional accident is likely to happen. The function helps keep vulnerable road users such as motorcycles and cyclists safer on the road.
